WELFARE and SAFEGUARDING

ARP050 Ski Club is committed to safeguarding the welfare of members who engage in all our snow sports activities. The policy below includes details of how to deal with situations where adults may be at risk of harm or abuse.

All our members are adults, and all adults have the right to make decisions for themselves. When we are safeguarding adults, we must understand and respect this right, even if we believe they are making the ‘wrong decision’.

Alison Boswell is the Welfare Officer for ARP050 Ski Club and is available to discuss any concerns or worries you may have.
Contact her via welfare@arp050skiclub.co.uk Face to face meetings can be arranged.

Ageing and Dementia

People in our age group may experience diminished abilities, both mental and physical, as time goes by, and not only do we not always recognise this in ourselves, but even if we do, we don’t always want to admit it.

Members affected in this way may be at risk of harm or abuse both to themselves or the others around them.

If anyone has concerns for themselves or anyone else they should contact the Welfare Officer. If necessary, spouses or partners may be consulted.
